Annotell is a fast-growing startup with a mission to provide the world's best platform to make safe perception for autonomous mobility happen. An important step in this process is to express what kind of ground truth to annotate in the underlying data together with cost and quality requirements. All these parameters tend to evolve as more data is gathered, which requires a platform capable of capturing these changes. 

We want to empower our customers to confidently and effectively manage all of these aspects while ensuring they can achieve safe perception. We're beginning this journey and have decided to dedicate an entire product area to get there – Self-Serve Platform.

What you'll do

Up until now, we've relied on an internally developed back-office platform to administer and manage all aspects related to ground-truth specification, cost and quality management, as well as project administration. Our goal now is to refine and break out these components and workflows into our main platform, enabling customers to perform more and more of these actions themselves. 

This will require a mixture of greenfield development and leveraging existing systems. An interesting challenge is how to provide an intuitive and easy-to-use platform without restricting the processes and workflows too much. 

You will work in a cross-functional team consisting of frontend developers, backend developers and product designers. Together you will interact with internal and external users of the Annotell platform, learn about their core needs and then connect these to how the platform should be developed. What to reuse, retool and rebuild will be central challenges – both on a technical and conceptual level.

With Annotell being a startup, it's very much of a growth environment where you sometimes have to act under uncertainties. In return, you will be able to have a big impact on defining the organisation and the Self-Serve product.

Our tech stack

We use modern tools, and our web app is modularly built using TypeScript and React. We employ a microservice architecture and write our backend services with Scala and Python. The complete solution is delivered using Kubernetes on Google Cloud. We rely on Elasticsearch to enable real-time search capabilities.

Who you are

We are looking for a candidate with solid experience building web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript and React. Previous experience or interest in UI/UX and product design is a plus. Similarly, experience or interest in backend development is beneficial as well.

Application

We recommend submitting your application as soon as possible as we select and interview continuously. This is a hybrid-remote position, requiring you to be at our Gothenburg office at least a couple of times per month.
